| Bio: | I'm a sixteen year old gal with a fascination for the world of writing, my own little spot in the universe. My life can be a little...odd at times. And though I'd very much like to know who has determined that my life ought to be a series of ironic coincidences and humorous idiosyncracies, possibly to cause whomever IS responsible bodily harm...I actually appreciate it all. Infinitely. Books! I am 100% obsessed with Harry Potter. I do things like join Harry Potter forums, countdown to book releases ON MY HAND, and own a Harry Potter costume. Yes, I am a freak, but I could've told you that and saved your breath. Other books that I really like: His Dark Materials series (brilliant), Sabriel, anything by Roald Dahl and Kurt Vonnegut Jr and Amy Tan, Life of Pi, To Say Nothing of the Dog, Wicked, anything by Douglas Adams, The Little Prince, Series of Unfortunate Events, Princess Diaries (cha, people), and the Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal snogging series (yesh). Bands/artists i like: BECK, The Decemberists, Sondre Lerche, The White Stripes, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Beatles, Belle and Sebastian, Arcade Fire, Wilco, Ok Go, The Sounds, Coldplay, The Killers, Ima Robot, The Strokes, They Might Be Giants, Franz Ferdinand, Grateful Dead, Green Day, Eels, Bob Dylan, Norah Jones, Sublime, Architecture in Helsinki, Matisyahu, The Futureheads, Weezer, 311, Paul Simon, Supergrass, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Kaiser Chiefs, Queens of the Stone Age, Cream, The Darkness, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mahavishnu Orchestra, The New Pornographers, Jack Johnson, No Doubt's "Tragic Kingdom," Oingo Boingo, Modest Mouse, Oasis, salsa, jazz, classical music when I feel like it, certain musicals (Phantom of the Opera, Guys and Dolls, Wicked), Garden State soundtrack, LotR soundtracks Movies! Favorite one is, without a doubt, Amelie. Others I seriously enjoy: The Royal Tenenbaums, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Aladdin, Love Actually, Beauty and the Beast, Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky, The Breakfast Club, Anchorman, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. TV for me consists of The Simpsons and Gilmore Girls--both quite different, but worthy of my obsession. I also watch a lot of Boy Meets World and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I play the violin; I'm teaching myself the guitar and piano, although not very well. I have a bird named Bird, a Puss in Boots watch that I treasure despite the fact that it no longer actually displays the time, nail-chewing habits, an impressive collection of several volumes of my own journals, an affiliation with the pen/pencil/keyboard, and quite the load of daily merde to input. ~8) | |||||
